Madhya Pradesh govt plane carrying remdesivir crash-lands at Gwalior; 3 people injured | India News

NEW DELHI: A Madhya Pradesh state government aircraft — reportedly carrying Covid drug remdesivir — crash-landed at Gwalior airport on Thursday 9 pm. The Beech 209GT Super King Air aircraft (VT-MPQ) with three persons on board was operating from Indore to Gwalior, when it crash-landed on runway 06R at the destination.
“All three are safe but have sustained multiple injuries. First aid was given at SMC (station medical centre) and then they were transferred to Gwalior medical college. Captain Majid was the pilot in command,” said sources.
Sources say the aircraft has suffered extensive damages as it got into “arrest barrier” which is normally used for fighter planes. A probe will reveal whether the plane landed on the designated runway.
